Andrew Jackson Bridgeman was born January 19, 1828, in Campbell County, Tennessee. He arrived in Texas on September 25, 1855 and moved to Parker County Oct 2, 1855. Then he purchased 160 acres on Patrick's Creek and paid taxes for the land in 1856.
In 1855, Jackson married the daughter of James and Rachael Kidwell, Rebecca, who was born April, 1838, Clark County, Illinois. They became the parents of four children according to the article. The minute book from the organizational meeting of the Harmony Baptist Church August 12, 1887, lists brother A. J. Bridgeman and sister R. Bridgeman as charter members.
