Interestingly, this genealogy has no date of death for Melvina, but her husband Marion Boatman is reported as a widow in the 1900 census, where he is living with her parents. So we know Melvina died before 1900. Marion is reported in this census as a Lodger, rather than a Son-in-law.
Melvina and Marion had one child, apparently, who is reported in his grandparents household in 1910, as Willie Boatman, age 11, making him born about 1899. I have not found where he was at the time of the 1900 census, when his father was reported in his grandfather's home. Nor have I found his father in 1910.
