Elizabeth's birth in Georgia provides a connection with John B's brithplace in Georgia. (Though in the 1850 census, Elizabeth is reported born in South Carolina.) John B Barnett's parents moved on to Tennessee where they died. John B and his wife Minerva Ownens moved to Mississippi, before moving on to Indian Territory. Minerva was part Cherokee, her mother Deborah Ross reported to be a niece of Chief John Ross.
