In 1880, the child matching Lizzie in the 1870 census was named Harriett E. The middle initial E there would represent the name Elizabeth, for which Lizzie is a common nickname. But Harriett was reported as 9 years old, while in 1870, she was already 3 years old. We first thought that was two different children, but then in 2018, records for Hattie, Heattie E and Harriette Boyd indicated that this was all the same person. Hattie is the common nickname for Harriett. Her name on her marriage license was Heattie, and in the 1900 census, she was Hattie. A 1913 directory reported her as Harriette E Lewis, widow of Oscar.

Boyd, Harriet E W F 9 Dau Attended School MO OH TN [b abt 1871]
Her age varies in different records. As Lizzie Boyd she was reported in 1870 as 3 years old, so born about 1867. He age in her marriage record under the name Hattie Boyd was reported as "over 18," so she would have been born before 1870. But in the 1880 census, age 9 would place birth about 1871. The 1900 census, which is wrong in abotu half the cases, Hattie Boyd was reported as born in March 1872. We take March as the correct month, but report 1867 as the year, to account for the 1870 cernsus and marriage record.
