Hair (Hare)." -- Grand Prairie Historical Society Bulletin, October 1980 Terresa Hare is listed as one of the heirs of Félicité Caillot Dumond in 1862. This is Teresa (Thérèse) DesRuisseaux, widow of Louis/Lewis Dumont (Dumond), who married W D Hare (Hair) after the death of Louis in 1848. Thérèse is reported to be the daughter of Francois Xavier DesRuisseaux and Marie Chatigny. Louis Dumont appears in the 1840 census, matching the age range for Thérèse's husband, but there is no matching female in the age range where we should find Thérèse. There is an older female in the age range 50-60. It is unclear why Thérèse would not have been in this hosuehold, since she was obviously alive at the later date mentioned in the record above, and was named as an heir, presumably in the stead of Félicité's son Louis, who died in 1848. She was enumerated with her two children in the 1850 census. She married W D Hare (Hair) in 1860. 1850 Federal Census, Arkansas County, Arkansas, 25 October, Old River Township, page 23, Hse/Fam #4 Teresa Dumas [Dumond] 30 F $1600 Real Estate b Arkansas [b abt 1820] Frances Dumas [Dumond] 8 F b Arkansas [b abt 1842] Louis Dumas [Dumond] 7 M b Arkansas [b abt 1843] Mary Dumas 4 F b Arkansas [b abt 1846] By 1860, Thérèse marrired W D Hare. They were enumerated as a family in Old River Township of Arkansas County, but in two different households. But this is because they married less than a month before the census, and apparently have not yet figured out how to combine their families and dwellings. The enumerator also erred, reporting the same age for W D and his son, as 27 years old!
