No source documentation is provided. There are several others like this, that appear to have copied each other on this, so we cannot rely on these as valid sources. I have seen no other instance of Jacob as a name in this famly line. Note also that the folloiwng genealogy reports that David died in Tennessee. The last record I have found for him was stil in Habersham Cuonty, Georgia, in the 1900 census. It seems unlikely he would have moved to Tennessee at that late date. It is probably a confusion with another David Hayes/Gilreath, name sometimes spelled Hayze, in Anderson County, Tennessee from before the 1850 census. The birth date on her grave and in directory listings is 25 July 1923. That would have made her 17 in 1940. Her age at death in 1998 was reported as 74, matching 1923, One wonders why her age was reported as 14 in 1940. "My aunt Floy Hayes saved this picture of the little city of McGee and my Hayes are buried at the McGee cemetery. Albert & Eliza Hayes are my great grandparents. Grandpa's store is to the right: " [W. T. Hayes, Dry Goods Groceries] . This store was moved to the new city of "Walling" that became Stratford, Oklahoma in 1906 and grandpa William Terrell Hayes was considered the first merchant of Stratford, Oklahoma." -- Richard D Jones, "The Hayes Family," OKGenWeb, http://okgenweb.net/~okgarvin/family/hayes.htm Floy Marie Hayes Birth Aug 27, 1911 Carter County, Oklahoma Death Oct 17, 1999 Choctaw, Oklahoma County, Oklahoma Parents William T & Mary B (Mollie) Wright Hayes (1874 - 1965) Burial Rose Hill Burial Park, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma County, Oklahoma Created by Janet LaMotte Jul 06, 2011 -- Find A Grave Memorial #72956121, http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=72956121
