She loved her family and they were the focus of her later years. She was known for her letter writing and her ability to keep up with everyoneâs birthdays. She also had an abiding love for her animals. She loved talking on the phone and watching âDays of Our Livesâ. She looked forward to Turkey Talk each year. She called the radio station frequently and requested her favorite songs. Every person who entered Virgieâs home was invited to call her Grandma. Virgie was a church member of the Fellowship of Living Faith. She read her Bible first thing each morning and read the Bible through twice in one year a couple of years ago. Virgie passed from this life on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at Lindsay Municipal Hospital in Lindsay, Oklahoma at the age of 88. She is survived by her children: Carol and Joe Basinger, Bud and Loverta Tarver, Sue and David Henderson, daughter-in-law Kay Tarver, and her special daughter, Billie Allen. She was very proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her grandchildren include: Jason Clymer and Brandi, Samantha Drew and Daniel, Pamela Tygart and Randy, Angel Nunn, Billye Thompson, Brandi Jones and Rodney, Christopher Tarver, Quella and David Meadors, Samuel and Shelly Tarver, Jeremy and Tamie Bagley, Justin and Mica Bagley, Aaron and Casie Tarver, Kaylee Tarver, Caleb, Stephanie and Tenessa Bagley. She is survived by 38 great-grandchildren and numerous great-great grandchildren. Virgie is also survived by two sisters: Marie Gregory and Odelia Martin.
