Violet Reva Warrington Webber
Birth 25 Feb 1923 Claremore, Rogers County, Oklahoma, USA
Death 20 Feb 2016 (aged 92) Midwest City, Oklahoma County, Oklahoma, USA
Burial Little Cemetery, Little, Seminole County, Oklahoma

Violet Reva (Warrington) Webber passed away from this life at the age of 92,
on February 20, 2016, in Midwest City. Violet was born in Claremore, Oklahoma,
on February 25, 1923 to Jake Wesley Warrington and Gracie Mildred (Tincup)
Warrington. Violet grew up and went to school at Wolf, Oklahoma, a community
south of Seminole, Oklahoma.

One night Violet’s brother brought a young man home for dinner. His name was
Ray Webber. On September 18, 1941, Violet and Ray married in Seminole,
Oklahoma. From this union was born one son, Tom Webber, the light of their
life. They celebrated 63 years of marriage before Ray’s death on October 4,
2004.

Violet was right by Ray’s side whenever possible. When Ray was drafted into
the Army, Violet followed Ray to Arkansas while he was doing his basic
training. During that time she worked making bomb detonators, which was a very
dangerous job. When Ray was shipped to serve in Europe, Violet moved to St.
Elmo, Illinois, to be near Ray’s family. She worked as a waitress in the
“Red Raven Café.”

That was somewhat amusing because Violet’s favorite color was red and she
loved birds. After Ray returned home from the war, he worked in the oilfield
traveling wherever there was a job. Violet, again, was right beside her
husband all the way. She loved him dearly and loved her life with him. They
moved to Lindsay, Oklahoma in 1951. Violet was a number one homemaker.

She took pride in her cooking, mainly baking. Violet was known for making the
best coconut cream pies. Wednesday night church potluck goers looked forward
to eating either her pie or her delicious fruit cobblers. She always took
scraped-clean dishes home whatever she cooked, nary a crumb left in the dish!
While Violet also enjoyed shopping and reading, her favorite interest was
always her family. Family was so very important to Violet.

Violet is survived by her son Tom and wife Janis Webber of Kalamazoo,
Michigan; three brothers: Carl and wife Cleo Warrington, Eugene and wife Edith
Warrington, both of Cromwell, Oklahoma, and Virgil and wife Sharon Warrington
of Healdton, Oklahoma; two granddaughters: Holly and husband Devale Long of
Norman, Oklahoma, and Stacy Williams of Garland, Texas.

She is also survived by great-grandchildren: Stephany Williams of Norman,
Oklahoma, Steve Williams and Stefen Williams of Kalamazoo, Michigan; Tommy
Long of Norman, Oklahoma; great-great grandchildren: Amira Johnson of Norman,
Oklahoma; Trevon Williams of South Bend, Indiana, Dominic Williams of Virginia
Beach, Virginia, and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Violet was preceded in death by her husband Ray, her parents; two brothers:
Robert Wesley Warrington and Joseph Melvin Warrington.

The funeral services for Violet are set for eleven o’clock A.M. on Saturday,
February 27, 2016 at the First Baptist Church, located at 401 S.W. Third,
Lindsay, Oklahoma. Pastor Randy Allen will be officiating. Interment will be
held at three o’clock P.M. at the Little Cemetery, in Little, Oklahoma.

Services are under the direction of B.G. Boydston Funeral Home of Lindsay,
Oklahoma. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to
Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children, 3800 N. May Ave., Oklahoma City, OK,
73112.
