    Daniel Conrad was one of nine children of James Henry Jenkins & Amelia Sanders Jenkins. His siblings names were Altha Ella, William M., Martha Hattie, Mary Magnolia, George Washington, Virginia Arrabella, Rosie Mabel & Dollie Lula Ray. Daniel married Miscal Aura Carter on September 4, 1904 near Newland, VA. in Richmond County. Daniel & Miscal had nine children; Dorris Ethlyn, Wilmer Vernon, Gleniss Aura, Oleta Amelia, Elva Erma, Mavis Theressa, Daniel Cameron, Aura Faye & Lila Mae. They were affectionately called Papa & Mama Jenks by their family and close friends.

    Cbituary:
    Daniel C. Jenkins, Sr., 88, of Kilmarnock died Sunday, August 31.

    He is survived by one son, D. C. Jenkins, Jr. of Kilmarnock; six daughters, Mrs. Morrison Sanford and Mrs. Ray Rose of White Stone, Mrs. Milton Crowther and Mrs. Addie Haynie of Kilmarnock, Mrs. Lawrence Havelock of Colorado Springs, Colo. and Mrs Floyd Hicks of Fredericksburg; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and two sisters, Mrs. Richard Hall of Colonial Beach and Mrs. Harvey Cook of Lottsburg.

    Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon [2 Sept 1975] at the Kilmarnock Seventh-day Adventist Church with burial in the church cemetery.

    Pastor Robert Adams conducted the services.   Mr. Jenkins' grandsons served as pallbearers.
