Several different places of birth are reported for Charles.  His death cenrtificate reports he was born in Hill County, Texas (a couple of counties south of Ft Worth).  His wife was the informant on his death certificate, and there were several facts she did not know.  He reported on his WWII registration that he was born in Pittsburgh, Camp County.  Camp is near Hunt County, where he was living in 1918 when he registered for the WWI draft.

Then on his Social Security records he reported he was born in White County, Arkansas, where his father was born.  But the 1900 census reported him born in Texas, like all the children.
