Notes

• William married Emily Caroline Foster abotu 1778.  The 1900 census reports they had been married 22 years then.  Thier first child was Edward, who was born about 1878.  the 1900 census reported his birth datre as April 1880, but other indications say the year was 1879.  Dates on their daughter Mattie's grave reports her birth in 1879, but in the 1900 census she was reproted as only 18 years old. and born in Dec 1881.  Birth dates on the 1900 census were often wrong. I have also found dates on many graves are wrong also.
