Ruby's birth certificate does not state the place of birth, other than to identify the county as Parker.

"ADVANCE, TEXAS. Advance is a dispersed rural community near Farm Road 1885 sixteen miles northwest of Weatherford in northwest Parker County. In 1890 B. B. Barton, of Denton County, moved to Adell in Parker County. Four years later he opened a general store four miles northwest of Adell and encouraged Adell residents to move to his new community, which he named Advance. Postal service began in 1894. A cotton gin was erected, and by the late 1890s the new community had twenty residents. Postal service was discontinued in 1906."

"Peaster is an unincorporated community in Parker County, Texas, United States, nine miles (14 km) northwest of Weatherford.  Settlement began in the 1870s when Georgia native H.H. Peaster bought 160 acres (0.65 km2) of land and built a house. The community that developed near the site of his home was originally called Freemont; in 1885 the name was changed to Peasterville. Throughout the 20th century, Peaster has served area farmers as a school and church community. During the mid-1920s the town's population grew to approximately 300, but this was soon followed by a steep decline after the Great Depression. From 1975 to 1990, Peaster had around 80 residents. Current estimates put the population at approximately 100."

I found one of our cousin famliy researchers on Martin-Jackson-Green had left a note on Ruby's Find a Grave memorial.

"She is half sister to my grandfather LeeLoo Alfred Martin, and the daughter of James Alfred Martin.  If you are related to her I would love to hear from you. Thanks,  Linda Martin bussell,lmhankssbcglobal.net"

In 1920, Ruby was enumerated with her mother and another child, identified as Leon Martin, Female age 7.  The latter would be Pearl's son Leon Parsons from her first marriage.  They are in the household of Pearl's unmarried brother Jim Walker.  And next door on Ft Worth Street is their parents with other siblings.
