In 1920, Jim is in his own household, unmarried but hosting his sister Pearl and her children.  Pearl Martin is reported as married, but her husband James is not in the home.  They did divorce at some time before 1925 when James married again in Oklahoma.  They might have been already divorced at census time, or separated before the divorce.

Note that the name Pearl does not appear in the Walker Bible list of children.  Pearl's reported age matches the birth date in late 1888 of the daughter named Izella.  But Pearl's death certificate reports her date of birth as 25 DSec 1886 and her place of birth as Custer County, Colorado.  The informant for the certificate was her brother JM.

Jim and Pearl's father and his young wife Verda (Berdie) are living next door.  James Walker's wife Berdie is 4 years younger than his daughter Pearl Martin.
