    Wife of Landrum Ezell Childers (1884/1952).

    Mrs. Ina Pennington Childers, 87, of 203 Popular Street Gaffney, died at 7 P.M. Tuesday at the Cherokee County Memorial Hospital after a long illness. A retired textile worker, she was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church. Surviving are two sons, G.M. Childers of Kings Creek and J.C. Childers of Gaffney; seven daughters, Mrs. Glen Seals, Mrs. Nellie Huskey, Misses Lola and Lela Childers and Mrs. Bill Phillips, all of Gaffney, Mrs. Lewis Hodge of Cowpens, Mrs. L.J. Hayes of Hickory, North Carolina; one brother, Sam Pennington of Blacksburg; three sisters, Mrs. Mamie Martin of Gaffney, Mrs. Minnie Bright of Blacksburg and Mrs. Ollie Crook of Gastonia, North Carolina; thirty-one grandchildren; sixty-two great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren. The funeral arrangements will be announced later by the Gordon's Funeral Home of Blacksburg.
