    Benjamin Modelle Green
Birth Aug 18, 1810 Catahoula Parish, Louisiana, USA
Death Jul 17, 1895 Dayton, Liberty County, Texas, USA

In 1832 Benjamin married the 'rich' widow Cynthia Riley Prewitt Everett who inherited the Everett property when her husband William died. The land title was granted on 12 May 1831. She also had a plot in town (Cinderella Prewitt) next to her father's place.

In 1836 he and his older brother Reason Green served in the Texas Revolution with Sam Houston in the Battle of San Jacinto. SOURCE: Green/Prewitt database.

He settled down on the ranch and farmed. By 1860 him and young Beasley Prewitt sold their slaves; Benjamin had 12, and Beasley Jr. had 8 at the time. In 1880 he still had servants, but they were now paid and stayed with him until his death in 1895.
