While the DAR membership genealogy above reports Walton was born in Chowan County, North Carolina, his FAG memorial reports birth in Brunswick County, Virginia.  The DAR information also reports he died in Wilkes County, Georgia, but the FAG memorial reports he died in Greene County GA.  Land transfer documents cited above indicate he did move to Wilkes County, Georgia.  But Wilkes County became Greene County in 1786, so it was already Greene Co when he died.  The latest date on the land documents was 1874, two years before the name change.
