Turner accidentally shot and killed Anna on 25 April 1787 in VA. Anne (Payne) Christian died from a gun shot wound to the back. He was tried in court in Richmond for felonious murder of which he was acquitted. I have the records of the inquest from microfilm at the Library of Virginia.
