• "I was born in Cheyenne Wyoming in 1957. My dad was Robert A Boyd Jr. He was born in Portland Colorado in April of 1921. His dad was Robert Arthur Boyd Sr, of course. Anyways we are related to Russell Hugh Boyd. We actually lived in Amarillo Texas between 1958 to 1967 while Russell Hugh Boyd and Rhonda Jenkins had lived there. I am not sure of time frame completely. ...  My granddad, Robert Arthur Boyd Sr left his family in Colorado, he had 4 kids there and started a new family in the Mineral Springs Arkansas area."

  "My grandfather was married to Abigail Phillips, my grandmother of course. He left her and 4 kids.  My dad was the oldest and he was only 6 years old when he left.  He started a new life in Arkansas.  I found thanks to Ancestry about my two half aunts and several half cousins that lived in the Mineral Springs area of Arkansas.  I tried to find my grandfather's grave but did not."

  The 1930 census reported Abigail as married, but Robert was not in the household.  Abbie was Living in her mother's home in Fremont County, Colorado, with her four children.  Going by Majery's age here, we can estimate that Robert left between 1927 and 1930.  Arkansas marriage records report that he married Ruth Latimer there in September 1931.

  My father Robert Arthur Boyd Jr was born in Portland Colorado April 23 1921.  His mom was Abigail Phillips. My dad met my mom in England during World War 2.  My mom was Eileen Patricia Andrews.  My dad was in the Army of course.  Towards the end of the war he worked in the Graves Registration Unit now called Mortuary Affairs (after the war too!)
  
  He married my mom in England.  She was a war bride.  She beat him to the USA.  She came to Colorado while he was still working burying the dead in France....
  
  I know he married a women named Ruth Latimer, and he had two girls by her.  One was named Carole and the other Roberta.  Roberta never married and is not alive.  Carol is up in Minnesota with her daughter Rebecca.
