"Mary Elizabeth Harris, Theresa's daughter is my 2nd ggrandmother.  She married a Henry Long, Point Deluxe [Point DeLuce].  If I'm not mistaken Therese [Dumont] was baptized at the fort [Arkansas Post].  My understanding is that there is interesting history about a fort there and our people."

The 1870 census above shows they lived near Arkansas Post, at the southern end of Arkansas County, near the confluence of the Arkansas River, the White River and the Mississippi River.  But Henry's father John died some time after 1877, when the last chld was born.  This was Sarah, reported in the 1880 census as 3 years old.  Lucretia moved before the 1880 census up north to Point DeLuce, near the White River, close to DeWitt.  In this census Henry is still in his mother's household, but is reported both single and widowed.

The 1900 census reports that three of Lucretia's children had died.  We find from other sources that Sarah was one of those.  Two others would have been born and died between the censuses, since there are 6 children reported in this census besides Sarah, and a total of nine births reported.  No additional children appear in the censuses.

The 1900 census reports Lucretia Long is still in the Point DeLuce Township of the county.  Thi scensus reports that three of her chidlren have died.
