Notes
- "My great grandmother was Sarah Ann McSwain Callahan (1875-1961) born and died in Cleveland Co., N.C. According to my research her father was Larkin Arkansas McSwain (1849-1929); son of Wm. Berry McSwain (1822-1904: son of David McSwain (1782-1860) who was married to Susanna Hamrick (1784-1894, which would have made her 110 yrs old). Sarah and Berry are buried at Beaver Dam Baptist Church west of Shelby, N.C. Larkin Arkansas McSwain is supposedly buried at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church in Swainsville, N.C."
