Notes

  • Eulalio's Social Security records report his birthplace as Veleicio, Nuevo Leon, Mexico.  No town in Nuevo Leon by that name could be found.  Thinking it might have referred ot Valencia or Valencio, a search on that name also turned up no record for Nuevo Leon state.  Note that the info would have been written by a clerk as Eulalio dictated it.  Eulalio signed his WWI draft card (below) with an X.

One great granddaughter thought Eulalio was referred to by the name Gregorio by a grandchild, in speaking to a cousin, Paula Terry Suarez, about his burial place near Thurber, Texas (Erath County).  No record has been found with this name Gregorio.

"After mom died I met a cousin in Danville, California. ... But I took mom's ashes to Texas when she died to be buried with her grandfather near Thurber, Texas.  Met 2 other cousins there.  Lived in the same house they lived when my mom was young.  They took me to the place Gregorio had worked when they were little."
--  Paula Juarez, email to Orville Boyd Jenkins, 28 January 2019

His WWI record above indicates he was working in 1912 for a coal and oil company in Thurber, where the children were born.  No record has been found with the name Gregorio.  All records found have his name as Eulalio, including several Social Security records of his children reporting their parents' names.  No other Treviño family member has been found with the name Gregorio.

His daughter Feliciana's California Death record reported only her father's surname.
