  • Ridgely Bond married Sina in Fort Smith, Arkansas, under US law on 4 September 1889.  By Choctaw law, Sina was still marrired to her first husband, Lysander Trahern.

    Sina obtained a divorce from Lysander in the Chrokee Circuit Cout on 7 May 1890, regularizing Sina's bigamous status.  The next day a marriage license was issued for Sina Trahern and Ridgely Bond to marry.  they were married two days last on 10 May 1890 under Choctaw law.

    When Ridgely had his interview with the Dawes Commission in 1902 for is enrollment in the Choctaw Nation, the discussoin was about his marrige in 1890 to Sina Colbert.

    Mr Ridgley Bond died at his home near Kinta Tuesday night at 8 o'clock after an illness of several months. Mr. Bond was a pioneer citizen of Haskell County and was well known throughout the entire country. He has always been an active worker in all things pertaining to the upbuilding of the country in general. Mr. Bond leaves a wife and family to mourn his death. The funeral took place at Sans Bois today and was attended by a large crowd of friends and relatives.
