White, Sarah E W F 21 Sister-in-Law At Home TX TN TN
White, John H W M 17 Brother-in-Law Works on Farm TX TN TN
The last two entries seem to tell us that Emeline's maiden name was White.
But genealogies report her name was Patty. The birth states of the sister- and brother-in-law are different from Emeline's with the mothers born in the same state (Tennessee) but the fathers in different states. For the White individuals, their father was born in Tennessee, while Emeline's father was born in Mississippi. This may mean that Emeline's mother was married twice, the second husband named White.
The genealogies I have seen, while they give Emeline's nsurname as Patty, do not have her parents. So I have not found confirming clues or evidence.

One genealogy I found did confirm my theory, but lacked details. It did not have the name of her husband named White nor information on the marriage, but attached a mortality schedule for the 1880 cenus for her death. The entry was scanned too narrowly so the first name is cut off from the entry. The last name is White. The attachment of this death notice for a woman name White to Delila Springer's record in the genealogy seems to reflect family information. Delila Springer Patty White died in December 1879.
