  The following marriage record is likely the correct one for this Roy Young.  I have not been able to fully document the California information reported here.  Other records have the name as Roy C Young.  It is possible there is a confusion of two individuals here, a possibility I have investigated.  But I have found no discounting data so far.

  This led to a matching Social Security record.  Note, however, that the date of death reported in the SS record is 3 August, while the obituary says 13 August.  I cannot find the related California death Index record.
