• Her name sometimes appears spelled Dona.  This may have originally been from the Spanish Doña.  But most records have the common English spelling of the same name, Donna, which was the original Spanish medieval spelling of the title Lady.  Her grave has the name as Donna.  But her nursing diploma has her name as Mrs Dona Richhart.  She had a granddaughter, the daughter of her son Richard, named Donna.
  
  The 1910 census reported her under her middle name of May.
