Pearl Green and Joe Johnson had two sons and a daughter, reported by Loretta Gregory Gay as Roy Lee, Bobby and Linda.  Joe and Pearl are found in the 1930 census in Wichita Falls.  The two children reported at that time were named Roy L and Joe D.  Various records inform us that the spelling of the surname is Johnson.

Hugh Green reports that Bobby and Linda Johnson were children of Roy Lee, the oldest son of Joe Duke Johnson and Pearl Lois Green.  Hugh was Hubert Dale Green, Pearl's nephew, the soin of Pearl Lois' brother Harry B Green and Dorthea Benger.

"Pearl Green Johnson had three sons - Roy Lee (wife was Annette), J D and Nolan.  Bobby and Linda as listed in your file were Roy Lee's children. As far as I know now, all of the sons and grandchildren are living."

Before 1935, Pearl and Joe moved to the New Mexico border town of Friona, Texas, in Parmer County, where her parents were living.  But before 1940 they moved down near the southen tip of Texas in Raymondville, Willacy County, Texas, where Joe was running a gas station.

The name on Pearl's memorial on find a Grave is Pearl Lois Johnson, matching hernephew Hugh's report above and the census reports of Pearl L Johnson.  But in early 2020, I found someone had attached the memorial for a Pearl Jean Green Peaster of Dallas, Texas, to Pearl Lois' parents James T Green and Mattie A Lovin of our family.  This Pearl Jean Green was born in Klamath, Oregon, where none of this family had ever been.  The other child links for J T and Mattie were correct, including some memorials I wrote.  Pearl Lois is buried in the Friona Cemetery like her parents.
