Eyline's cousin Buck sent me information about Eyline's family.

    ---------------
John H Lynch grew up in city of Blooming Grove, Navarro Co Tx and he married to Sallie L Watson in Barry, Tx. close to Corsicana.  His brothers and sisters were all born in Blooming Grove.  John, Sallie and their children moved to Oklahoma in 1905.  Worked farming and then they owned a cafe business in Carnegie 1918.  When he retired they sold business in 1943.

    Their children are

In the 1940 census we finally find out what Eyline's other name was.  The family info I have seen has Eyline D, as well as City directories, although the 1952 Chickasha Directory, which I found only in February 2014, has her as Dorothy E.  In the 1940 census she is enumerated as Dorothy I.  This makes it seem that her first name was Dorothy, not Eyline.  In censuses, she is also genearally Dorothy E.  I never knew her to go by Dorothy, but these entries seem to indicate that in this earlier time, she did.

The 1940 Oklahoma City directory gives us the name of the Dairy Bud worked for.  In this directory, In this directory she is listed as Dorothy E, as in the censuses.  But in later directories her name is Eyline or Eyline D.

After World War II started, both Bud and his younger brother Orville worked at Tinker Field Air Force Base in Midwest City (Oklahoma City).  Bud and Eyline were living in the Oklahoma City area and Orville lived with them a while during that wartime work in the City.  Bud's son Michael Thomas was born in Oklahoma City in 1943.  They are reported in the Oklahoma City Directory in 1941 and later.  In 1941 Bud is listed under his middle name Carthal.

In 1941 and following, during World War II, Bud and Eyline were still living in Oklahoma City, where Bud was working at Tinker Field Air Base.  Bud's son Trent told me he remembered my father, Orville Lee Jenkins, living with them during the war when Orville was also working at Tinker Field as a Radio Repair technician.

After the war, Bud and Eyline moved back to Chickasha, Oklahoma, where their daughter LaRhonda Eyline was born.  In Chickasha Bud had a Maytag dealership next door to the City Hall and Police Department.  Bud shared the building with his brother, my father Orville Lee Jenkins, who ran a radio sales and repair business, until the early 1950s.

I found listings for them in the 1947 Chickasha City Directory.

Thus in 1956, Eyline is a widow, but by the publication of the 1957 city directory, she is the wife of Wayne Wornom.  So Eyline married her second husband about 1956 or early 1957.

No other Jenkins family source has information for Eyline.  Our family lost track of her when she remarried and moved with her children and second husband Wayne Wornom from Chickasha to Oklahoma City, where he was in business.  For some time before the move Wayne and Eyline ran the Jeep dealership Wayne owned in Chickasha.

Buck Lynch, a cousin of Eyline, found my genealogy and contributed information about the Lynch family.  We worked over email to extend and clarify Lynch family information, filling in gaps in what Buck had from family sources.  In May 2009, Eyline's oldest son Trent, my first cousin, contacted me.  He provided her place of birth, missing from other sources.  Eyline was born in Mt View, Washita County (now Kiowa County), Oklahoma.

The Carter genealogy cited above reports that Eyline died in December 1970, but Trent reported to me that she died in 1974, of a stroke.  But in May 2012 I found Wayne's obituary which reports the date of his marriage to Marita Davis as December 1970.  This agrees with the date of death of Eyline in the Carter genealogy.

"My grandmother Eileen [Eyline] passed away when I was only a year or two old I believe, so didn’t even get to know her very well.  Wayne remarried a lovely woman named Marita.  So Wayne and Marita were the only grandparents that I knew, and I never really got to know anyone else."
--  Terry Price, grandson of Eyline, son of LaRhonda Jenkins Wornom, email to Orville Boyd Jenkins, 14 May 2012

Eyline's burial record was found online in 2017 by Julia Jenkins Willadson, her niece.  The following Wornom burial list has been organized by couples.

    Eyline Dorothy Lynch Wornom
Birth Jul 29, 1916 Mountain View, Kiowa County, Oklahoma, USA
Death Dec 25, 1969 Oklahoma City, Oklahoma County, Oklahoma, USA

Eyline was one of 7 children of John H Lynch of Blooming Grove, Navarro Co, TX. Eyline's mother was Sallie L Watson, who married John Lynch in Barry, TX, near Corsicana.
John & Sallie moved their family to Oklahoma in 1905. Worked farming and then they owned a cafe business in Carnegie 1918. When he retired they sold business in 1943.
--  Based on info from Buck Lynch, email to Orville Boyd Jenkins, 28 January 2008

Eyline first married Arthur Carthal "Bud" Jenkins, whom she met in Carnegie, on 06 January 1935. They moved to Chickasha, Oklahoma, where they ran an appliance business. Bud died of a heart condition on 19 October 1955.

"Our mom, Eyline, was born in Mt. View, OK, or so I always heard. And Bud was born in Fort Cobb, OK. ... My granddad Lynch then moved to Carnegie, where mom grew up and Dad met her. All these little towns are/were near one another, and not far from Anadarko, where I was born (in 1937, by the way!) when Mike was born in Oklahoma City, where we lived for a time during WW2. --  Trent Jenkins, email to Orville Boyd Jenkins, 25 May 2009

After Bud's death, in about 1956, Eyline married widower Wayne Huntly Wornom. They later moved to the Oklahoma City area, where they both died. They are buried in Oak Park Cemetery in Chandler, Lincoln County.
