I got a helpful note on posted on RootsWeb version of my genealogy providing some details about Della Hopkins.

"Della Bell Hopkins daughter of Joseph Alfred Hopkins and Martha Marie Louise Hudgeons. 11th of 12 children, my grandfather Marcie LaFayette Hopkins was the 4th, Della married Fred Tugman"

A genealogy reports that Della Hopkins died in Gillham, Oklahoma. But I cannot locate a town named Gillham in Oklahoma in any reference source. The Social Security Death Index clears that up, indicating that Gillham is in Sevier County, Arkansas. This is the county where SSDI also reports Fred died, in DeQueen in 1975.

The Social Security report of her name as Della Taylor indicates she married after Fred died. This matches the name Della Taylor in the genealogy above, which seems to have some good information, but gives no information on why her last name is Taylor when her parents are named Hopkins and the only husband reported is named Tugman/Tugmon. I have not found documentation associating Della with the name Taylor.
