In the 1860 census, the ages of the children tell us they moved from Tennessee to Missouri about 1855.

1860 Federal Census, Cherokee County, Georgia, 7 July, Cross Roads, P O Ophir, Enumeration District 26, page 130, Hse #939, Fam #1001

    James B Kilmere 4 M W Son born MO
    Margaret J Kilmere 1 F W Son born MO

In the 1870 census, Early's wife is named Mary.  The children of the family look right, and match the earlier reports.  Is Mary Nancy's other name?  None of the family sources mention a Mary.  And Nancy is reported to have died in 1870 or 1871.  No Mary is reported among the three wives of Early.  I have not found the marriage record for Nancy or Early's second wife, the widow Sarah Jones Duckworth.

1870 Federal Census, Fulton County, Arkansas, 1 July, Big Spring Township, PO Bennetts Bayou, page 49, Hse #4, Fam #7
    Killmore, E 36 M W Farmer $0 Real Estate $205 Personal born Tenn

    Killmore, Mary 15 F W Domes-H Keeper born Tennessee
Killmore, James 12 M W Farm Laborer born Missouri
Killmore, Jennie 11 F W born Arkansas  [matches Margaret J of 1860, who was Margaret Jane]
    Killmore, Sarah 9 F W born Arkansas
Killmore, John 2 M W At Home born Missouri

The birth states of the children indicate a lot of moving north-south.  It looks like they moved from Tennessee to Missouri soon after the end of the Civil War.  James was born there about 1857-1858, but they weren't in Missouri long before moving somewhere south of the border into Arkansas, where Jennie was born about 1858 or 1859.

Douglas County, Missouri is just one county away for Arkansas in central Missouri.  A little after the 1960 census, they moved back into Missouri, where John was born about 1862.  By 1870 they are back across the border in Fulton County.  Fulton County, Arkansas, borders Missouri in the Ozarks.
