• Nola Jane is reported under one name or the other in most es.  The Fain genealogy has her as Jane Briscoe, a cooperative tree on Family Search has her under her nickname of Nolie Briscoe.  Her proper first name is used in teh 1930 census.

  In the 1930 census, Nolie was reported under her proper name Nola, as a widow with her own widowed daughter, as a separate family in her father's household.  Note that Nola is enumerated under her maiden n ame, rather than her married name.
  
  Her sister Maude and her husband are in the household also, and their still-single brother Arthur, reported here as Author.  For some reason, the enumerator gave Nola a separate house number, even though it is the same street address.  But Henry and Maude are another family number, but the same house number.
