    Mrs. Euzelia McSwain Porter, 84, died Thursday, May 31, 2001, at her home.

    A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Oliver and Maggie Black McSwain. She was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Keenagers, Faith Sunday School class, a substitute Sunday school teacher and a former member of the choir. She retired from Dora Yarn Mill after 31 years of service.

    In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by seven brothers.

    She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Henry Lee Porter of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Don and Sandra Porter of Cherryville and Jerry and Carol Porter of Lincolnton; three daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn and Jacob Rhyne of Dallas, Frances and Ralph Kiser and Terri and Rick Childers, all of Cherryville; one brother, Alvin McSwain of Cherryville; best friend, Alene Fisher of Cherryville; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

    The funeral will be at Mount Zion Baptist Church.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.
