- Mike Taylor tells us this about Elisha:
"Mary Elvira "Vera" Bailey (wife of George Ross Mullins) was daughter of Elisha M Bailey, Jr. This Elisha travelled in and out of Georgia during the early 1800s. No marriage record has ever been found for him. He very well could have taken an Indian maiden as his wife. He travelled extensively in the Cherokee Nation areas of Georgia and South Carolina."
