  Robert's fatrher died in 1851 in Panola County, Mississippi.  In the 1860 census, Robert and his two younger brothers were reported in the household of a Wells family who ran a hotel.

  Robert did not marry until 1877, and he went back to Mississippi to marry.  Marriage records show that Robert married Millie Matthew in Panola County, Mississippi.  This is the last record found for both Robert and his wife Millie Matthew.  It appears they died in Panola County, but no burial has been found.  Some genealogies copy each other to report that Robert died in 1871, but none provide any documentation, discussoin or explanation.  No burial information has been found.
