Notes

  • Both the name Fisher and the name Asewaynah come form Geniece's grandfather, Rudolph Fischer, a German immigrant's child who was captured by Comanches as a child and raised as a Comanche.  He decided to remain with the tribe and culture, and was given the name Asewaynah by the Comanches, according to a family tradition prominently discussed on genealogy sites. and in genealogies.  Asewayna means Gray Blanket, according to these sources.
