A couple of genealogies tell us the name of Frank's wife was Ludilla A Robinson. One references their marriage record in Lauderdale County, Alabama.

Geo F Nicholson
Spouse L A Robinson
Marriage Date 12 Sep 1867 Lauderdale County, Alabama
Performed By Justice of the Peace W W Pettus

Notice that this record has the marriage dated 12 September while the report from the record book in a genealogy has 18 September. The license was likely issued on the 12th and the marriage ceremony conducted on the 18th. I have not seen a copy of the actual record entry to resolve this discrepancy.

Dear Mr. Jenkins,
I live in Cabot, Arkansas. Prairie County is the next county to mine. For a birthday my daughter bought me an old picture. It has the name on the back. It says, "George Franklin Nicholson, father of Hulda Irene Nicholson Williams. He is your family. I have given him a place of honor in my home."

The 1900 census reports Frank as married 34 years, but there is no wife reported in the household. I have not yet found the family in 1910. It is possible that L A has died. There is another child James H born after that time, with a birth date from his gravestone of 16 April 1911. So I need the 1910 census to see if Frank was still married to L A or another wife, or listed as a widow.

Huldah will marry Harvey Williams in about three years. In 1910, they are married with two children, the oldest of whom is 6. In 1900 they are living fairly close together, with Huldah still at home with her father and younger brother, and Harvey is a boarder in the household of Frank's sister Elizabeth (Eliza Price), who is already a widow.
In the 1910 census for Prairie Township, Fannie's father Frank Nicholson is living next door to his daughter Fannie (Frances Elizabeth) and her husband Bert (Wilbert Silas) Rownd. He is a widower and has several boarders in his house, so appears to be running a boarding house. Frank has two cooks, a mother and daughter named Thompson, and two younger Thompson children. Three farm workers are in the household. Though their relationship to Frank is listed as "Hired Man," they appear to working for other farmers. Their occupation is "Farm Laborer, Working Out."
