In Jim Cline's Find a Grave memorial, Rebecca's name is given as Rebecca Jane Pitman.  (Ancestry.com incorrectly transcribed this as Ritman.)  The record spells her first name Rebeca.  Given her age one would thinks this was her first married name.  But she is named as "Miss Rebeca J Pitman."

They moved to Oklahoma not long after they married.  In 1910 census they are enumerated for the census in Jefferson County, Oklahoma, on the Red River.  According to family sources Sarah died after they moved to Oklahoma, where they were living in Wray Township of Jefferson County.

A genealogy reported the year of Sarah Ann's death as 1907, but a later-posted memorial on Find a Grave reports that she died in 1904.  But she did die in Oklahoma.  So Amon and Sarah Ann moved to Oklahoma, where she died shortly afterward.

Amon returned to Georgia apparently to marry and bring his new wife back to Oklahoma Territory.  Their marriage record reports that Amon married Rebecca Jane Pitman in Cherokee County, where Amon and Sarah were living before they moved to Oklahoma Territory.

Amon married Rebecca Jane in in 1906 and they were reported in the 1910 census for the new State of Oklahoma, in the same location where they had been when Sarah Ann died in 1904.  This was Rebecca's first marriage.
