Notes

• Laura was the second wife of Elisha Richard Grubbs.  James' previous marriage is reported in the 1910 census.  From both the 1900 and the 1910 census we see they were married about 1893.  The marriage record was found in a new round of research on this family in January 2017.

  In 1900 James is 10, so he was the last child of the first wife, born in August 1889.  A genealogy or two has her name as Laura Ann Barefoot.  But no documentation is provided.  (See later notes)
