    Winnie Ann died in 1937.  By 1940, Lee'a son Leland had moved his family from Stephens County to settle near Lee.

    Lee H. Quaid, 76, Formerly of City, Dies

    Lee Harrington Quaid, 76, who formerly lived in Duncan but moved to Achille, Okla., south of Durant, in 1937, died there unexpectedly Monday [26 May 1958] after a heart attack.

    Quaid, father of two Duncanites and brother of another, was a retired farmer. He was a native of Wise County, Tex., born there Aug. 27, 1881.

    The funeral, conducted by Virgil Bryant, minister of the Countyline Church of Christ, will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday [29 May 1958] in the Velma Church of Christ. Don Hicks minister of the Prairie Hill Church of Christ, south of Duncan, will assist.

    Burial will be in Velma Cemetery by Gus Pool Funeral Home of Durant.

    Quaid, a member of the Church of Christ, married Hattie Walton, in Durant, Oct. 3, 1944. She is among survivors.

    Others include four sons, Richard of Duncan route 3, T.V. of Comanche, Francis of Loco and A.D. of Achille; two daughters, Mrs. Sylvia Blankenship, Duncan and Mrs. Dicie Wilson, Loco.

    Also step-children Mrs. Hattie Chamblee, Ft. Worth; Mrs Dollie Devault and Mrs. Jewell Barnett both of Dallas; Mrs. Opal Cody, Phoenix, Ariz.; Mrs.Dorothea Shields, Denison, Tex.; Mrs. Ruby Garrison, Hendrix, Okla.; Lonnie Walton, Tulsa and Paul Walton, Dallas.

    Three brothers, John Quaid of near Duncan, T.D. Quaid of Enid and J.W. Quaid of Tishomingo; Three sisters, Mrs. Eula Jernigan, Sayre, Ok.; Mrs. Lena Ray, Oklahoma City and Mrs. Essie Skillern, Wynnewood.

    27 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
