    Minnie Jane Hayes died Saturday morning at Toppenish, Washington. She was 77

    Mrs. Hays was born in Sullivan County, Mo., moving to Hodgeman County in 1886.  From 1904 until 1945 she lived in Gray County. She moved to Washington in 1945 to make her home with her daughter, Mrs. Ruby Zable. Her husband, Jeff Hayes, died in 1925.

    She is survived by nine daughters, Mrs. Smith of Garden City, Mrs. Ruby Zable of Toppenish, Wash., Mrs. Hattie Scott of Aimino, Kansas, Mrs. Helen Grubb of Caldwell, Ida, Mrs. Emma Lockore of Big Pine, Calif., Mrs. Mary Douglas of Palisade, Colo., Mrs. Anna Friend, also of Caldwell, Ida., Mrs. Ina King of Washington, Ill., and Mrs. Allie Ward of Little Rock, Ark., two sons: Joe Hayes of Ingalls and Frank Hayes of Phoenix, Ariz.; 46 grandchildren; and a large number of great grandchildren.
