  Charles is age 15 in 1870 and in the household of his mother, who is now widowed and head of the farm household.   Charles is working the farm along with his brothers and sisters.

  The next two households are also Strawns.  I cannot determine the relationships from the ages.  Next door to Charley is a female head of household, but stated as married rather than widowed or divorced.  She is Nancy, age 59, born in Tennessee, with two children, Columbus 25 and Pearl 20.  Living next to her is 33-year-old George Strawn and his wife Nannie, age 28.  They have three children, the oldest of whom is Charley, age 9.  Nancy would not appear to be Charley's mother, if the birth state information is correct.  She could be an older sister-in-law of Charley.  George is likely Nancy's son.

  Note that now it is reported that Olive has borne only 2 children, compared to 3 in 1900.  Charley now owns his farm.  According to the month of birth reported in 1900, Charley's age in April 1910 should have been 54.
