In the 1900 census, Several of the children of this family are found in Childress, Texas, with James S Anderson as head of the household, married to a Sarah P. Thier mother is next door as Sarah Stiles, the wife of Thomas Stiles, a farmer. Birth dates and states of the children indicate they moved to Texas between 1881 and November 1885. The last child was Ida, born in June 1888. So we can say William died 1888 or later. The census reports Sarah and Charles have been married 7 yeaers, their first son Napolian [sic] born on July 1893. So we can say William Anderson died between 1888 and about July 1892.
