Notes
- There are different individuals in various genealogies confused or mixed for the last husband of Alice Miney Wilson. We know his name was Hancock, from Alice's later records, such as Social Security reporting her as Alice Hancock, and her burial order form, found on one of the genealogies.
Thanks to Ann Ragsdale for providing a death certificate and Obituary for James Walter Hancock. Other than these I have not seen on any genealogy or search any definitive documentation for the last husband of Alice Miney Wilson, named Hancock. Several genealogies have him listed under the name of James Walter Hancock, but attached no documentation of had documentation for other individuals in various families named Hancock.
James Hancock enlisted in the US Army in 1894 in Ft Worth, Texas, and served about 1.5 years. This record reports his birth place as Navarro County, Texas

An Oklahoma Death Certificate for James Walter Hancock in Holdenville places him in the correct location for the residence of Alice Miney and related Barnetts. A related short obituary mentions the only fact in public records, other than the Holdenville location, that I have found to definitively tie him to Alice Miney Wilson Middleton Barnett Hasty Hancock. The place of the funeral matches that on the burial order form for Alice at her later death, with funerals for both being announced in Harvest Time Tabernacle in Holdenville, Oklahoma.

Hancock was also previously married two times. His first wife is given by a couple of genealogies as Eliza Jane Blackwell. She died in 1904 after bearing two children, Victor Lee and Emmett Thomas. Both are mentioned as survivors in the obituary of James Walter Hancock in 1953, named as Lee and Emet [sic], and Emmet is reported as the informant for his father's death certificate in Holdenville, Oklahoma.
Genealogies report his second wife as Sarah Emaline White. She appears in censuses as Emma (1910) and Sarah (1940).
The obituary cited above also seems to tie our James Walter Hancock to the Hancock family in Arkansas, through the residence of one of his sons, Arthur ("Auther"). The census of 1910 in Ellis County, Texas, reports that James was born in Arkansas. But other censuses report Texas as his state of birth. This Arkansas family is referenced by some genealogies, and rules out other extraneous families in other states that some other genealogies attach to this James Walter Hancock. Note that this obit does not report a place or date of birth.
Some genealogies report details of birth, death and marriage that seem to come from family sources, but do not match the documentation records they attach. Alice herself is well-documented in genealogies with photos and other documents and personal information.
The Walter Hancock in the 1880 census referenced by some genealogies is thus likely the wrong Hancock for the husband of Alice Miney Wilson Middleton Barnett Hasty Hancock. At lest one genealogy has attached an 1880 census record for a Hancock family with a son named Walter, who has a brother James. Several genealogies have the name of Alice's wife as James Walter. But in this census record Walter has a brother named James, so he is not James Walter.
I have not been able to determine exactly when Alice married Walter Hancock
This makes me question Walter's parents, who are missing or vary among the genealogies. His death certificate reports no name for either of his parents. It does, however, report his birth place as Texas. There are several Hancocks named James, James W, Walter or other variations in various Texas counties at about the right time or age.
The census documentation attached to some genealogies for Walter as a child of George and Julia Hancock in Tom Green County, Texas, is likely the wrong family, since this Walter had a brother named James about 3 years older than him.
