Notes
- Two genealogies report the death date of 21 February 1928 for George. But children of Emma Ross Teal in the 1940 census with her second husband Luther Dumond reports 11-year old twins, making their birth about 1929. the Langston genealogy reports the birth of one of the twins James as 28 April 1929. (James' twin sister Marie is not reported by the Langston genealogy.)

The Arkansas Death Index reports the same date of death for George, Note that this is a typed compilation sheet by the Arkansas records office from the individual records. So there is room for error, but otherwise this date would seem definitive. Then how could the twins have been born in April 1929, more than a year after George's death?

George Dun Teal
Death 21 Feb 1928 Dallas County
Even more of a problem is the report of Troy Teal in the 1940 census, at age 9, meaning he was born about 1931 or perhaps late 1930, over two years after the death date of George Teal.
This opens up another unsavory possibility, that these children were indeed born after George Teal's death, with another unreported father. I have not yet found any definitive record of the children's birth dates.
