  The 1930 census reports that Gary and Jean Ellen were both born in California, but in 1940, Jean Ellen is reproted born in Washington.,  The latter seems mroe likely.  In 1926, Stanley and Vera were in the Tacoma, Washington, City Directory.  We can deduce then that they moved to Los Angeles County, California in late 1927 or later, before the 1930 census.
