Notes
- The name appears in the letter from daughter Dolores Frank spelled as Joean, first thought to be a typewriter typographical error. The Christiansen Genealogy (no longer online) spells it as Jean, and this appeared to be corroborated by other sources. However, the marriage record, found only in November 2018, also spells here middle nmae Joean. -- OBJ
The letter from Florence's daughter Dolores Bess Frank was written to Joseph Asa Jenkins, father of Joseph Benjamin Jenkins, Florence's first husband.
"My name is Dolores Bess Frank and my mother was Florence Joean Jenkins. ... My mother Florence, whom I suppose you last saw when she was just tiny, has been dead for five years. She died in Northern California."
-- Dolores Bess Christiansen Frank, Letter to Joseph Asa Jenkins, 14 Nov 1956, from the papers of Julia Virginia Terry Jenkins, in possession of Orville Boyd Jenkins
