One source shows several people in the Mullinax-Gaines lines to be buried at Sharon Methodist Cemetery, in Central, Pickens County, South Carolina. One or more sources has at least one person also as buried in Sharon Methodist Cemetery, but in Anderson County, South Carolina. These two towns are only a few miles apart.
The map to Sharon Methodist cemetery in reference to Central, SC, shows the cemetery to the east of the town, and about the same distance to the north of Pendleton in Anderson County. It seems that both these references are referring to the same cemetery for both these towns. Another site reports residence or death in Central, with burial in Sharon Methodist cemetery, but in Anderson County.
It seems likely that the cemetery referred to in the first source for Sharon Cemetery in Central is actually located across the county line in Anderson County. I have not been able to determine exactly where the county line runs. Several cemetery lists have Sharon Methodist Cemetery in Newberry County, South Carolina. But the listing shows none of the names I have for people that are reported as buried in Sharon in Anderson or Pickens County. All this area used ot be part of Pendleton District.
