In the 1910 census, Samuel T Cochran is reported as 10 years old. He was born after 1 June 1900, however, since he does not appear in the 1900 census of this family. The census date in 1910 was 15 April. So he was actually not yet 10 years old at census time, or by the date the enumerator actually recorded this family on 14 May.

In Tulsa we also find records for a Samuel Dewey Cochran, sometimes reported only as Samuel Cochran. Some sources may have details for Samuel D Cochran mixed with information about Samuel T Cochran. Samuel D reported his date of birth to Social Security as 4 May 1898. This matches a grave in his name in Rose Hill Memorial Memorial Park in Tulsa.
