    Three different dates of death are reported by sources for Elsie.  As we see above, her Massachusetts death record (transcription) reports the date as 28 May 1904.  A printed memorial posted on a Find-a-Grave memorial reports it as 29 May 1904.  The date of death on her grave is May 31, 1904.  The latter is likely the date of burial, which could have gotten engraved in error in place of the death date.  Boston is in both Suffolk and Middlesex counties. It is uncertain which section of Boston she died in, presumably in a hospital.

    Mrs J Frank Dillingham
    Died May 29, 1904
    Aged 30 years

    Poetic Inscription:
    "One precious to our hearts has gone,
    The voice we loved is stilled.
    The place made vacant in our home
    Can never be filled.
    Our father in His wisdom called
    The Boon His love has given;
    And though on earth the body lies,
    The soul is safe in Heaven.

    The actual death certificate confirms that the Ancestry basic transcription is correct on the date.  Thus the differing dates on the gravestone and the FAG memorial are both wrong.
