  • California Birth Index, 1905-1995
    Estelle Mae Jackson
Birth 8 Nov 1931 Riverside County
    Mother's Maiden Name Gray

In 1941, Estelle was enumerated in the census at age 8.  She is in the household headed by her widowed mother, with her little brother William A Jackson.  Their mother Mabel has the last name of Hoskin and is Divorced.  Since William is 5 years old, this would mean that Mabel divorced William a Jackson in about 1935 or so.  Then Mabel married a Hoskin, but they also divorced before this 1940 census.

Estelle was mentioned in her grandfather's obituary in 1954.  It is strange that her brother was not mentioned also as a survivor.  The granddaughter Sharon Lee Jackson is possibly a daughter of Alvin for whom we do not have documentation.
