"The first wife of William Boyd McSwain was Bonnie Mitchell, daughter of Hiram and Francis Clercie Sizemore Mitchell, she had the 3 boys by William (William Boyd JR., Jack and, Robert) my step-grandmother Mary Kiser had Betty and Carolyn who I really through the years haven't got to know. Bonnie died in 1929 in Newberry, S.C. with TB, William and Bonnie's residence at that time was East Robinson St. Gaffney, S.C."

    ----------------------
My father was Jack Osborne McSwain, he died in Pembroke Pines, Florida.  His father was William Boyd McSwain, who was married to Bonnie Mitchell, had 3 boys, she died and he remarried Mary Kiser, they had 2 girls.

Next comes Osborne Benjamin McSwain, he was married to Amanda Childers.  They were from down about Cherokee County S.C.  Osborne's father was Thomas Asbury McSwain, mother Alice (Aly Ann) Carpenter, then comes Charles McSwain, who was married to Luraner Washburn McSwain.  He and she had abt 16 children together, she died -- I should have her death date somewhere in my records -- probably in the 1840s, he then married my g.g.g.grandmother Sarah L. Throckmorton.

Charles's father was David McSwain.  I think his mother was Catherine Robertson.

    ------------------------
Bonnie Mitchell McSwain was only in my McSwain line because she was married to William Boyd, but I thought she looked like a little Indian girl in the one pic.  Most people who see it usually agree.  Her mother's maiden name was Sizemore and her ancestors were said to have been with the Cherokee.

I actually have a piece of the log cabin that David McSwain lived in, I've got it under my house, the cabin was called the Buck McSwain place, it was down the Mt Sinai Church Rd. down past the church.  My wife and I were down that way doing research and the man that tore down the cabin had the logs from it under a shed, he sawed me off a piece several feet long.

I also have a copy of the book David McSwain from the Isle of Skye that Eleanor Davis McSwain wrote, she has the same name as my wife only my wife spells Eleanor (Elenora), even the same maiden name though.  We paid Eleanor a visit one year, she lived down in Macon, Ga.
